About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Art Producer on a freelance basis. You will support multiple art teams by tracking the review and delivery process of assets from external vendors, coordinating schedules, managing task assignments, and ensuring that feedback loops between internal artists and vendors are efficient and well-documented.

This role requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate closely with both creative and technical teams to keep production running smoothly.

Although this role is remote, successful candidates must be located in Ontario, Quebec, or British Columbia and must be available to work West Coast (PST) hours to align with our production teams.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Track the delivery process of assets from external vendors, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Coordinate schedules and task assignments across multiple art teams.
  • Facilitate clear, timely communication and feedback between internal artists and vendors.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement solutions to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain tracking tools and documentation to ensure all teams have up-to-date information.
  • Collaborate with internal leads, producers, and technical teams to ensure smooth production pipelines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in art production, project coordination, or production management in a game development environment.
  • Experience managing multiple asset pipelines and external vendors.
  • Strong organizational, scheduling, and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with project tracking and management tools (e.g., ShotGrid, Jira, Confluence).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AAA game production.
  • Familiarity with real-time game engines such as Unreal Engine.
  • Prior experience coordinating outsourced or remote art teams.
